The 2007 series is a continuation of my my long-term project Go for Gold! (from 2006) which engages with the places and spaces of the Lower Lea Valley, London. This area has been designated for the 2012 Olympic Park and venues.
Images of this series were taken in the final days before the closure of the site on 2 July 2007. Since then it has (almost) been impossible to gain access to the area due to the erection of the blue fence and hightened security. No permission is given by the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) to take photos apart from their own commissioned photographers.
