Moon Safari is an exploration of landscape photography. By photographing the aftermath of environmental catastrophes (e.g. wildfires, land slides and floods), Moon Safari investigates the way in which landscape is perceived and presented. Through this investigation, Moon Safari offers a contemporary methodology for understanding landscape photography.
Moon Safari builds upon a series of images of a wildfire in the Sierra Nevada, CA (images from 2007). Future locations include diverse natural catastrophes in the US.
